Australia won by 7 wickets in second semi final of cricket world cup 2007

The 2nd Semi Final played at Gros Islet, St Lucia on 25 April 2007. It was very poor batting from South Africa given the target of 150, Australia made it very easily. Australia will now play the final game of this tournament against Sri Lanka.

South Africa Innings

South Africa batsman looks in hurry after winning the toss and chosing to bat first. South Africa, who chose to bat first started thier innings poorly. Nathan Bracken started the disaster with Graeme Smith, then McGrath bowled the danger Kallis. Fall continue when Tait joins with McGrath and put South Africa in deep trouble at 27 for 5. Situations could have been more worse if Gibbs is not given lucky chance when he was caught behind. Given the advantage he played quite nice and score 39. In the end it was single handle effore from Kemp who made 49* ann helped them to reach 149. This was never going to be a tough for Australian. Though they lost Gilchrist early in the innings, they were never in trouble through out the game and won the second semi final easily by 7 wickets.
