This was the 5th and the last test match of Ashes cricket tour 2006/07 and the first test match of year 2007, started on 2nd January at Sydney. Langer, Warne and McGrath appearing for the last time in their test match cricket career. England won the toss and elected to bat first on delayed start of play due to rain. This was turning out to be an ordinary test cricket day with England put 234/4 on the board. For the third wicket partnership between Bell (71) and Pietersen (41) added 108. In the end Andrew Flintoff (42*) and Paul Collingwood (25*) sounds more confident and lead the score to 234/4.

England failed once again to take advantage of good start loosing thier remaining 6 wickets in morning session and collapsed to 291/10 from 245/5. Although superb innings from Flintoff(89) manage england to reach 291. Australia started thier innings comfortably with Langer looked somewhat in hurry playing in his last test match. Ponting(45) was looking nice and added 64 to the total with Hayden(33) before he runout. Then after loosing Clark(11) early Hussey(37*) and Symonds(22*) playing quite sensibly till the end of the day 2. Quite a mixed day for both the team and the match is turning out to be in an interesting position.

England in a big big trouble of the 3rd day, 5th Test Ashes cricket tour 2006/07. They are just 12 runs ahead in 2nd innings with loss of their top orders. It once again was the rocking cricket day for Australia from the begaining of the play of 3rd day. It was rocking innings from Warne(71), playing in his last Test Match, after crackling started by Symonds and Gilchrist. Was very good support from S Clark(35), they added valuable 68 to the score for 9th wicket. In the end they manage to put total of 393 with crucial lead of 102. England then started their innings with Cook falling very early on just 5 on the board. They never come back in the game as wickets are falling on regular interval. In the end they trumbling on 114/5 (Leading by 12 runs) in their second innings at the stumps on 3rd day.

Nothing worked out for England on the 4th day of 5th and the last match of the tour. Thir last hope Pietersen came to an end when he was out on very third ball of the day without adding anything to thier overnite score. Finally their innings come to an end on only 147 with Australia need just 46 to win the test match. Hayden and Langer, appearing as an opening pair for the last time, done the job in just 11 overs. Stuart Clark's declared Man of the Match. This is the end of Ashes cricket tour 2006/07 with Australia winning the Ashes by 5-0.

Ashes cricket tour, 4th test match started on December 26, 2006 at Melbourne. This was the day for Australia specially Shane Warne who took 5 wickets for only 39 runs, 37th five-wicket haul. When Shane Warne took AJ Strauss's wicket, he becomes the first to take 700 wickets in Test Cricket. After this England innings collaps to only 159. Australia as usual started their innings comfortably. In the end Flintoff managed to out Justin Langer and the nightwatchman Lee, two in two balls. But it was the day for Shane Warne and hence Austrelia.

It was very good morning session for England when they put Australia in trouble with 84/5. But then Matthew Hayden and Andrew Symonds started playing very sensibaly, though England bowlers troubls Symonds in his start of innings. Then they made no any mistakes and put Australia into driving seat leading by comprehensive 213 runs.

Australia put 419 on the board with Warne(40*) on the early of the day. England started their second innings facing a first innings deficit of 260. But no one could manage to stand at the crease and they just cant not pass first innings deficit and loose the match by an innings and 99 runs only in less than 3 days. Lee took 4 wickets for only 47 after Clark strikes initially.

Ashes cricket tour, 3rd test match Day 3 was the day for Australia, fantastic batting exhibition put them very close to reclaim the Ashes in style. It was superb batting performance from Clarke (135*), Hussey (103) and in the end Gilchrist cracking (102*). An early break through put England struggling on 19/1. Batting looks easy on this pitch, and this is the only hope for England.

Ashes cricket tour, 3rd test match Day 2, wicket now looks good for batting the way Ponting and Hayden playing after two innings completed in two days. It was very tough day for England and they was not looking in cotrol at any time of the day except their tail ender's important contribution and an Australian wicket very first ball. Only Pietersen (70) played some good knock before he caught by Symonds at long-off. Than after Ponting and Hayden looking very positive and comfortable and the pitch was looking easy for batting now.

Ashes cricket tour, 3rd test match started on December 14, 2006 at WACA, Perth. Hoggard initiated break through for Australia and they lossing at regular interval after Panesar took charge on the bowling attack. First ball of Very second over of his Ashes cricket tour career and Panesar took wicket of Langer. Then they never come back in the game with Panesar ended with 92/5. Steve Harmison give him very good support with 48/4 and restrict Australia on 244. Though England failed to take advantage and struggeling on 51/2 at the end of the day.

Ashes cricket tour 2006/07 2nd Test Day 5 was the day for Australian. It was started when the dramatic collapse in England innings on day 5 open the door for Austrelia to claim the Ashes early. It was superb bowling performance and comeback from Shane Warne with 27/4 restrict England on only 119. 168 was needed in 36 overs for austrelia to win 2nd Test. And they made home with 3.1 overs left with Hussey 61 not out and ponting 49.

Ashes cricket tour 2006/07 2nd Test 2nd day Their battel continues on day 2. This day even batter than the first day for england. This had happened again after lossing first test they come back very well. It was the brilliant performance from Paul Collingwood and Kevin Pietersen. Collingwood made a promicing 206 and sensible 158 from Kevin Pietersen put them on the top. In addition to this an early breakthroug of Justin Langer by Andrew Flintoff put the test and series on interesting stage.

Ashes cricket tour 2006/07 2nd Test 1st day England come back into the series after loosing the first test against Australia in 2nd Test, Adelaide. It was superb performance from english batsman particulary Paul Collingwood. After initial fall Paul Collingwood and Ian Bell take the charge and made 113 run partnership. Then half-century from Kevin Pietersen puts england on challenging position of 3 for 266 at stumps day 1. Australia's bowling attack was looking ordinary and they could not make any impression after initial fall.
