ICC Twenty20 World Cup 2010 Schedule: ICC Cricket Schedule

Upcoming Twenty20 World Cup championship tournament is scheduled to start from 30th April of 2010. It consists of total 27 Twenty20 cricket matches including two semi finals and the final. This is the third time Twenty20 World Cup tournament to be played among 12 cricket playing nations divided into four groups.

  • Group A: Pakistan, Bangladesh, Australia
  • Group B: Sri Lanka, New Zealand, Zimbabwe
  • Group C: South Africa, India, Afghanistan
  • Group D: West Indies, England, Ireland

ICC Twenty20 World Cup 2009 Schedule, T20 2009 Fixtures

Twenty20 cricket is quickly becoming more and more popular now a days. ICC Twenty20 World Cup is the international tournament of Twenty20 cricket matches. This international tournament is organized every two years by the ICC. It is consists of all the test playing nations and other qualifiers. First time it was held in South Africa in 2007. In this inaugural tournament India defeated Pakistan in the final. This is the second time ICC Twenty20 World Cup tournament will be played in England. It consists of 12 teams- Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, Ireland, Netherland, New Zealand, Pakistan, Scotland, South Africa, Sri Lanka, West Indies. The tournament will start from 5th June, 2009 with Twenty20 match between England and Netherlands. Following is the detailed ICC Twenty20 World Cup 2009 Schedule and Fixtures.

Twenty20 Super Eight Schedule And Team Positions

Twenty20 cricket world cup 2007 at South Africa now entered into the most entertaining Super Eight stage. Four teams viz. Zimbabwe, Kenya, Scotland and West Indies are eliminated from this tournament. The remaining eight teams will retain their position irrespective of their standing at the group stages except Bangladesh will be replaced by A2(West Indies) as they defeat them at group stage. These eight teams are divided into two groups (E and F) of 4 teams each and they will compete with each other in their groups. So each team will play 3 matches and the top 2 teams from the each group will be advanced for the semi finals. Twenty20 World Cup Schedule- 2007

Twenty20, as the name suggest is a single innings 20 overs type of cricket. Introduced in England originally played between county teams. It then gradually spread at the international level. It is the shortest form of cricket completed in about 3 hours, after 5 day test matches and limited 50 overs one day cricket. This is the first time ICC has organized Twenty20 World Championship tournament to be played in South Africa. This Twenty20 World Cup championship will be played between all the test playing nations and other qualifiers and it will contested among total 12 teams.
