ICC Twenty20 World Cup 2010 Schedule: ICC Cricket Schedule

Upcoming Twenty20 World Cup championship tournament is scheduled to start from 30th April of 2010. It consists of total 27 Twenty20 cricket matches including two semi finals and the final. This is the third time Twenty20 World Cup tournament to be played among 12 cricket playing nations divided into four groups.

  • Group A: Pakistan, Bangladesh, Australia
  • Group B: Sri Lanka, New Zealand, Zimbabwe

Champions Trophy Schedule- ICC Champions Trophy 2009 Schedule

Preview

ICC Champions Trophy 2009 to be held in September - October 2009 at South Africa. This One Day International (ODI) Championship tournament will be contested between eight cricket playing nations. The Cricket teams playing in this tournament are Australia, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, West Indies. Last time it was held in 2006 where Australia won this trophy for the first time beating West Indies. ICC Twenty20 World Cup 2009 Schedule, T20 2009 Fixtures

Twenty20 cricket is quickly becoming more and more popular now a days. ICC Twenty20 World Cup is the international tournament of Twenty20 cricket matches. This international tournament is organized every two years by the ICC. It is consists of all the test playing nations and other qualifiers. First time it was held in South Africa in 2007. In this inaugural tournament India defeated Pakistan in the final. This is the second time ICC Twenty20 World Cup tournament will be played in England. It consists of 12 teams- Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, Ireland, Netherland, New Zealand, Pakistan, Scotland, South Africa, Sri Lanka, West Indies. Asia Cup Schedule June-July 2008 Pakistan

Asia Cup Cricket 2008

This is the ninth Asia Cup cricket tournament and will be held in Pakistan. The Asia Cup cricket tournament is played between Asian countries since its beginning in 1983. Out of eight previous tournaments India win the most 4 times, Sri Lanka 3 times and Pakistan once in 2000. This ninth tournament will be played between six countries and start from June 2008 at Pakistan. These six cricket teams will be divided into two groups of 3 team each.

Group A: Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, UAE.
Group B: Pakistan, Hong Kong, India.

The three teams in the group will play each other once and the top two teams from each group will qualify for the second round. In the second phase there will be 4 teams and they will play each other once. So in the second phase each team will play three matches. India Pakistan Schedule of Pakistan Tour 2007

Pakistan to tour India in November-December for about month long time. This tour is scheduled just after India played the seven ODI series against Australia and ended series 2-4 with one match was washed out. Pakistan are coming just after completing two Test matches and five ODI series against SA. They lost both the test series and ODI series by 1-0 and 3-2 respectively. Here in this India Pakistan Schedule 2007 Pakistan will play five ODIs and three Test matches. In this schedule there will be three Day Night ODI matches and will be played on 9th, 15th and 18th of November. In Test Cricket history before this tour there are 56 test matches played between these two teams with India win 8 times and Pakistan 12 times and 36 are drawn. South Africa won the toss and elected to field first in 3rd Test match of Pakistan cricket tour 2007 to south africa. They made wise decision when Ntini started crushing Pakistan innings. Pakistan loose their 6 wickets when only 90 was on the board. Once again it was brellient innings from Mohammad Yousuf (83) and the 7th wicket partnership of 60 help manage them to reach 150. Then they loose last 4 wickets in the gap of only 7 runs with total of 157 runs. Kallis and Ntini take 4 wickets each. Pakistan fights well taking wickets regularly and come back in the game as South Africa are at 131/5. Though Smith was looking danger but could not make the job done as he depart at 64.

Pakistan continue fighting from the start of the day and they took 2 wickets early in the morning. Mark Boucher(40) single handed manage to take South Africa pass Pakistan total. In the end South Africa lead by just 26 runs. Nothing magic happend in Pakistan second innings as no one looks comfortable against South Africa bowling attack. Hameed (35), Shahid Nazir (27), Inzamam-ul-Haq (22) and Mohammad Yousuf (18) all got a start but could not manage to play longer innings. At one stage Pakistan were at 121/7 when they lost their last hope Inzamam-ul-Haq only on 22. But, then their tail enders really done a very good job and added an important 65 to the total and manage to set target of 161 for South Africa. Smith started their chase positively but they lost 2 wickets at the end of the day

In the end South Africa manage to win the tough game by 5 wickets. It was turning to an exciting stage when South Africa lost Smith and Amla early in the day and collapsed to 39/4. But Prince and Kallis made no further mistakes and took their side to comprehensive win by 5 wickets and the series by 2-1. Kallis named man of the match for his all rounder performance and also man of the series.

Second test match of Pakistan cricket tour 2007 to south africa Played at Port Elizabeth, on 19-23 January 2007. South Africa set the target of 191 with 2 days remaining in the match. It was entering an interesting phase when Pakistan was at 92/5 when Inzamam departs immediately after Mohammad Yousuf. But South Africa could not do more than just watching a superb innings from Kamran Akmal. He and Younis Khan took it away from South Africa with an impressive partnership of 101 and lead to a comprehensive win and level the series.
