Sri Lanka v New Zealand, 1st Test, Christchurch, 3rd day A very good support from Sri Lanka tail enders and brave intelligent innings from Sangakkara creates some hope for Sri Lanka. It was single handed batting exhibition from Sangakkara who rotated strike cleverly and was nice support from Malinga and Muralitharan before getting run out very unlucky. In the end set the target of 119 runs. New Zealand started their innings carefully but was looking intersting when they collapsed to 68/4 from 58/0 but Nathan Astle made no mistake and took them to the victory with the help of Oram. Initial tow catches off no balls of Cumming could have make difference to the game but in the end was fustration for Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka v New Zealand, 1st Test, Christchurch, 2nd day Sri Lanka bowlers made a good comaback after their batsman collaps on 154. Muralitharan amd Vaas took 2 wickets each in one over putting New Zealand 113/6. New Zealand loose 4 wickets in 7 runs trumbling 113/6 from 106/2. In the end Sri Lanka restrict New Zealand for 206. But this was not enough Sri Lanka batsman failed again and collapsed to 125 for 8 at stumps. Only Sangakkara looks comfortable and played superb inningsIt was superb spell from Bond 38/4 and there was no answer from Sri Lanka and in addition 2 run out put New Zealand very close to the victory.

Sri Lanka v New Zealand, 1st Test, Christchurch, 1st day It was superb bowling from New Zealand pace attack. Sri Lanka was struggling to bat against the fast bolwing from New Zealand. The New Zealand batsmen then started their innings and gets comfortable 85 for 2 at close of play.
