South Africa won the toss and elected to field first in 3rd Test match of Pakistan cricket tour 2007 to south africa. They made wise decision when Ntini started crushing Pakistan innings. Pakistan loose their 6 wickets when only 90 was on the board. Once again it was brellient innings from Mohammad Yousuf (83) and the 7th wicket partnership of 60 help manage them to reach 150. Then they loose last 4 wickets in the gap of only 7 runs with total of 157 runs. Kallis and Ntini take 4 wickets each. Pakistan fights well taking wickets regularly and come back in the game as South Africa are at 131/5. Though Smith was looking danger but could not make the job done as he depart at 64.

Pakistan continue fighting from the start of the day and they took 2 wickets early in the morning. Mark Boucher(40) single handed manage to take South Africa pass Pakistan total. In the end South Africa lead by just 26 runs. Nothing magic happend in Pakistan second innings as no one looks comfortable against South Africa bowling attack. Hameed (35), Shahid Nazir (27), Inzamam-ul-Haq (22) and Mohammad Yousuf (18) all got a start but could not manage to play longer innings. At one stage Pakistan were at 121/7 when they lost their last hope Inzamam-ul-Haq only on 22. But, then their tail enders really done a very good job and added an important 65 to the total and manage to set target of 161 for South Africa. Smith started their chase positively but they lost 2 wickets at the end of the day

In the end South Africa manage to win the tough game by 5 wickets. It was turning to an exciting stage when South Africa lost Smith and Amla early in the day and collapsed to 39/4. But Prince and Kallis made no further mistakes and took their side to comprehensive win by 5 wickets and the series by 2-1. Kallis named man of the match for his all rounder performance and also man of the series.
