Once again it was the Muttiah Muralitharan who done the trick with the wrist. No one seem comfortable against his magic spin and he took 6 wickets in 87. An other 10 witcket haul in a match with total reaching 674. LPC Silva named man of the match for his fantastic 152*.

This was the day for LPC Silva. He took on the charge and played some nice strocks all over the ground. He made superb effort and put awesome 152 notout, puting Sri Lanka on the driving seat.

New Zealand struggle continues on 2nd day too with Malinga continuing his cracking bowling performance and bowled Sinclair with superb yorker. Muralitharan then took charge not allowing to settale New Zealand tail enders. In the end New Zealand only manage to score 130 with only help from McCullum (43). Sri Lanka top order failed again but later they manage to score 255/5 in the end with the help of superb batting from Chamara Silva (79*). Sri Lanka now on the top in this test match after loosing first test.

This was Sangakkara's day, he continues playing dominating role for Sri Lanka when there was very little support from the other end. He put dominating 156, most of the runs in an innings for Sri Lanka after 100 in his last innings an manage to put Sri Lanka on 268. Then Sri Lanka bowlers took the charge and put New Zealand struggeling 64/4 at the end of the day with Malinga 3-37.
